- Don't overdo it: Wash your face only twice per day, morning and evening. Excess washing can cause irritation. Use only your bare hands to wash and don't use a wash cloth which can be irritating. Regular bar soap or body shower gels can really dry out your face. We recommend using facial cleanser gels/liquids.
- After a shave, don't just rinse your face and walk out the door. You've just removed a layer of skin. ALWAYS apply an alcohol-free product so you don't irritate the skin at its most vulnerable moment after shaving. And start NOW (just ask your female friends). Wet a pure badger-hair shaving brush and work up a rich lather with the shaving soap in the palm of the hand or in a shaving bowl, lightly dipping the brush in water to add moisture if required. Lather the beard with a circular motion and shave in the same direction as hair growth. Rinse with cool water only and re-apply Trumper's Skin Food to nourish the skin.
