A Note on Badger Shaving Brushes - The price of a brush will depend on the quality of the hair and the amount used in the brush. There are three main categories of Badger Hair. Silver Tip is considered the highest quality of all. It is the softest and has natural untrimmed silvery colored tips. Super Badger is made with a very fine quality of hair and has a distinctive black band capped with white tips. Best Badger is an excellent quality of pure badger hair and is generally darker in grey, brown or black colors. Best Badger hair is far superior to bristle brushes.
